Healthy meals, medical care, accommodation costs, and care for each girl.
…whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.
Casa Elizabeth is a teen pregnancy home that provides shelter, food, medical care, and basic resources for girls 11-18 years old. The girls are often placed in this home by court order because their very families pose as a threat to them, and many become pregnant at the hands of a stepfather, father, brother, or uncle. In 2014 the median age of these girls remained around 16, yet lately it has dropped to 14. With your donations we are able to give these young mothers-to-be a safe home, and introduce them to a loving God and family.
Casa Elizabeth hosts mentor couples, affectionately known as house parents, who care for the girls as their own and make the house feel more like a home. Together with a team of psychologists, social workers, educators, and volunteers, these girls will build upon a healthy foundation from which they can grow to realize their dreams. The goal is to see each girl and baby enter into a relationship with God as they receive loving care, break the cycle of poverty, and thrive upon graduation from this program.
Pray for M, who just turned 15, and her little boy who turned 1 in April. They are both thriving, as she is a wonderful mother who also continues pursuing her education. Pray for her living situation as she cannot yet return home until her own mother can meet the court stipulations to provide a safe place for them. Pray for reconciliation and a restored safe home for this family and others in similar situations.
