If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.
1 JOHN 3:17-18
A country* in the Arabian Peninsula is facing one of the worst humanitarian crises in the world because of a proxy war. Through support of this compassion project, families’ physical and spiritual needs are being met by a local like-minded agency.
“Our family has been suffering since the start of the war, with no end in sight. I approached many people for help … several humanitarian organizations … and religious leaders in our place of worship to explain my plight as a widow and mother of many children … help never came. I was even asked to compromise my dignity as a woman in exchange for help. When I refused, the man started becoming aggressive towards me and my children. I wanted my life to end. But God sent an angel in the form of a humanitarian worker to give us a food basket. I wondered why this worker was different than all the others … [it’s] because Jesus lived inside this person, I received more than food through him. I also met Jesus. I discovered that Jesus is loving, kind, and faithful. He is close to me and knows me better than I know myself.” – Widow and mother

Pray that the ceasefire would hold and for an end to the war. Pray that as humanitarian efforts reach the most vulnerable in the country, people would meet and receive Jesus. Pray for the physical, emotional, and spiritual healing of this nation ravaged by war and famine.
