Kids in Crisis – School Kit
Suggested Price: $75.00
This initiative provides school kits to the children in the Kids in Crisis program. The most vulnerable children identified by churches throughout Guinea also benefit from the school kits.
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
Moses was a great prophet of God as a man, but many forget that his life in Egypt began with him being rescued as a baby by Pharaoh’s daughter. His very name means “I drew him out of the water.” Exodus 2:8 tells us that Pharaoh’s daughter has compassion on Moses and saves his life. Acts 7:21-23 testifies to her act of kindness, “she took him and brought him up as her own son.” Through many different and often complex circumstances, babies and children continue to need life-saving care today. As in baby Moses’ case, compassionate acts of kindness like these are vital to their survival.
In Guinea, many babies are orphaned at birth, born with serious health issues, or rejected because of poverty. Abandoned babies face death or a future of trafficking and exploitation. The Kids in Crisis ministry provides live-saving care to children. Often families send infants whose lives are in danger to the centre to save them similar to Moses’ story. Pastoral families and a team of lay people in various regions of Guinea share the vision of the Kids in Crisis ministry. They identify widows and vulnerable children in their communities, and take them into their homes to provide care and restore hope for their future.
Please pray that the children of Guinea will come to experience the healing work and presence of Jesus and that they will be agents of change in their country as they grow and flourish.
