Caribbean Island Ministry – Sponsor a Student
Sponsor a student to attend training courses that will equip them in the areas of spiritual formation, leadership development and business skills so that they can effectively establish a small business that will support them and their local churches financially.
In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’
Genesis 42 and 43 paint the picture of a now wealthy and powerful Joseph as he displays compassion and humility by helping his estranged brothers and elderly father as they suffer through a devastating famine. The Bible says he not only settled them with property in safer territory, but that Joseph also provided all his father’s household with food according to the number of their children. As God prospers us, it is his expectation that we don’t turn a blind eye to the weak and vulnerable, but that we help them and raise them up as He has so graciously done for us.
With this project, you’ll help local churches sustain a long-term ministry to seniors and helpless people in their communities. In the wake of hurricane Irma, many churches received funds to start a compassion ministry by applying for a grant. Abandoned seniors with no family, disabled people, those struggling with alcohol addiction and other vulnerable people will be helped by this project which will also benefit local churches.
Please pray that the love of Jesus would be evident through these acts of compassion to those outside the church, and that their lives would be transformed by Christ.
